Why Cats Need Sponsorship

Dog Rescue Newcastle cares for kittens and cats, as well as dogs and puppies, because of the severe problem of over population, abuse, and abandonment cats. Senior cats and special needs cats need extra help; due to their lower chance of adoption they live out their lives in foster care.

Cats Available for Sponsorship

Please note that cats can have more than one sponsor. Thank you.

Cat Description Sponsor
Nikita

10 yo Nikita is a gentle girl who was surrendered when her owner went into permanent care and she lost the only friend she knew. She often hides but loves exploring when no-one is watching. She is so timid that she cannot be re-homed and will enjoy the securing of her loving foster home.

Bronze Sponsor: Katrina Hatcher

Patches

Patches is a 2yo cat who has been re-homed 8 times. YES, 8 TIMES in only 2 years! Poor Patches is tired of going from home to home. He thinks no-one loves him and he just wants to settle down and feel safe. He loves to socialise with other cats and is often found smooching with his carer or sunning himself in a nice spot. Due to various issues from being re-homed so many times he will need to be in foster care for the rest of his life.

Bronze Sponsor: May Hane

Pepper

Pepper is a 5 yo male cat who was surrendered with his friend Salt. He is obsessed with climbing trees. He likes to mingle with some of the other cats but really loves his brother Salt. They can be seen walking around the property, talking about birds, trees and politics. Pepper has not been able to be re-homed due to some behavioural issues so will need to stay as a foster cat for his life.

Silver Sponsor: Kerrin Mitchell
